How to play Football Bingo

Football Bingo gives you a card of 16 boxes, each one a category — a club, a country, a trophy, a piece of career trivia. A random footballer appears above the card. Your job is to decide which single box that player belongs in, and click it.

Place him correctly and his face fills the box, then a new player is drawn. Place him wrong and you lose a life. The card is complete when all 16 boxes are filled, which is harder than it sounds: the players come at you in a random order, and the obvious box for a big name is often better saved for someone who fits nowhere else.

How many lives do you get?

Three. Every wrong assignment costs one, and losing all three ends the run. Because a mistake is expensive and a skip is not, guessing is almost never the right call — if you cannot confidently place a player, skip him instead.

What do skips do in Football Bingo?

Skipping draws a new footballer without costing a life. You get 20 skips per game. They are your safety valve, but they run out, so the real skill of the game is deciding when a player is worth burning one on and when to take the risk.

Is the board different every game?

Why is this the hardest football bingo game?
